Cambodia Day 1 - Sunday

Greetings, brothers and sisters of LFPC. We want to provide updates to the church about the happenings in Cambodia during our short-term mission. The MTW missions team arranged a roomy, air-conditioned bus for our travels (so thankful). Sunday morning, we worshipped at Redemption in Christ Church (RCC). Most of the missionaries were in attendance. During the service, we were able to witness Hugh's confession of faith (Hugh is Missionary Dr. Marc Ambrose's adopted son) while worshiping together with local church members. We came to find out that many of the girls in attendance are survivors of trafficking.

On Sunday afternoon, we moved to the Khmer Christian Church (KCC) where we received our orientation, followed by Elder training given by Pastor Andy, Jimin, and Solomon. The rest of the team fellowshipped with college students, listening to two student testimonies, followed by games and activities.

In the evening, the women and girls went to meet with some of the college girls from the dorms to fellowship and break bread. The men had dinner (legitimate Korean food!) together with Marc Ambrose, who runs the Christian Clinic and Dahlia Dorms. Finally, at the end of the night, we were able to recover the lost bags, all 9 accounted for. Praise God! Thank you for your prayers. Andy recovered from his illness and was able to get an IV from the clinic to expedite his recovery.
